Dry Erase Board <== click here to go to site

DRY ERASE BOARDS are awesome. During the early 1970's black boards were made in a square shape with wood frame at the corner. Chalk pieces were used for writing on the black boards. These types of boards were used in schools.
Superior quality dry erase boards have started to become popular since 1990's.  It can also be called white board. At present white boards are commonly used in schools colleges' offices etc. Dry erase boards have several uses and benefits.
Special care and cleaners are not essential for the maintenance of dry erase boards. The surface of the erase boards are made out of glossy material and variety colors are also available. Permanent markings cannot be made.

Advertise your Site
5.Advertise your Site
After you create your web site you will want to tell others about it. The best way to do this is to open your web browser and type in the address to your web site. After the site loads you can copy and paste the web address (called a URL) to your email program and send the link to friends and colleagues. If you would like to make your site more accessible to other people on the Internet you will have to get it listed in Search Engines like Google. Here are some search engines that you can publish your new site to. Just follow the links below and submit the URL to your new web site:

   • Google - http://www.google.com/addurl/
   • The Open Directory Project - http://www.dmoz.org/add.html
   • MSN Search - http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx
   • Yahoo Search - http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request

Publish Your Website
4.) Publish (Upload) Your Web Site
Before you (or anyone) can view your web site on the Internet you need to publish (or upload) your pages and images to your web server. In steps 1 and 2 you learned how to sign up for a domain name and a hosting service. Now you will use the settings from your web hosting service to enable you to publish your site to the web server. To begin, open up Nvu and go to the "Edit" menu and select "Publish Site Settings". You must fill in these values before you will be able to publish your web site to the web server. The screen will look similar to this:

• Site Name: You can type any name you want in this field
• HTTP Address: This is the address that you type into a web browser to get to your web site
• Publishing Address: This is the FTP server information that you get from your web hosting service
• Username: This is the username that you use to connect to your web hosting service
• Password: This is the password that you use to connect to your web hosting service

You should disgregard the "Select Directory" button when setting up your web hosting connection. This only allows you to select local folders on your computer and has nothing to do with your web server. When you are finished setting up all of the settings for your web hosting options click on the "OK" button to save the information. After you set up the "Publish Site Settings" whenever you click the Publish (or Save) buttons the local changes that you make to your web site will be uploaded to the web hosting service (web server). This is the method by which you make changes to your web site. First, make your changes locally on your computer using Nvu. Then, when you are done you click the "Publish" button to upload the information to your web hosting service. After your site has been published you should be able to open a web browser and view your changes.

Domain Name
What is a domain name?

A name that identifies a computer or computers on the internet.
A "www.yoursite.com" name for your web site is called a domain name

A domain name works like an address forwarding service.

All of your Web site content sits on a computer with a unique address. This is called an IP address. An IP address is made up of a series of numbers, such as 123.23.234.45. Your domain name directs visitors to your site using this IP address.

We use domain names instead of IP addresses because most people find it easier to remember a name rather than a series of numbers.

Before you can set up a public web site you have to purchase a unique domain name. These are sold by ICANN-approved domain registrars and you typically pay for them by the year.

The registrar I use is GODADDY.
,
Their domain registration process is very simple and their prices are one of the best on the net. If you've any problems or questions their support staff are excellent and reply very soon, be it either by phone or email.

Once you've logged onto their site, to get started, you need to check and see if the domain name you want is available.
  1. Go to theHome Page.
  2. In the Enter a domain name search box, type in the domain name you are interested in.
  3. Select a top-level domain from the drop-down list (.com, .org, .net).
  4. Click Search.

If the domain you want is available, you can follow the instructions on the page to proceed to the next steps in the registration procedure.

If the domain name you requested is already taken you, you will be presented with some available alternatives. For example, you may be able to select a .info or .ws top-level domain, rather than a .com. So, you could register www.domainnamehere.info, instead of www.domainnamehere.com.

Honestly, it's so straight forward that you should have your registered domain name in no time at all.
